How ScamBuster Was Born
At Mitt Arv, trust and security are at the core of everything we build. Our founder leads this commitment with passion, ensuring these values guide every decision and product we build.
But one incident challenged that very foundation.
Several employees began receiving messages that appeared to be sent by our founder, Vishal Mehta. The messages were brief, familiar, and urgent in tone, making them appear legitimate at first glance.
Although the messages seemed authentic, a moment of hesitation raised suspicion. The communication style was convincing, yet something felt unusual, prompting employees to pause and verify.
This incident highlighted a larger issue: modern scams no longer look suspicious. Fraudulent messages are now carefully crafted to resemble genuine communication from trusted individuals or organizations.
The situation raised an important question:
If a message can look completely real and still be fraudulent, how can individuals confidently identify and prevent such threats?
This realization led to the creation of ScamBuster.
